Theres not a damn thing comeing out of the speakers.:) Its dead quite. Max volume or low volume. It doesn't matter. I've never heard anything so quite.
The only thing that is not dead quite is the transformer. It has a VERY slight hum. But you would have to have your head right by the amp to hear it.. It doesn't bother me one bit or take away anything from the music..

Hey Nick,
Forgive me if I overlooked it in either of your threads, do have the model/part number of the Hammond chassis you used?
Thanks,

Well Nick I have purposely not looked at your thread. I knew that if I did I would find a beautiful piece of gear that would leave me wanting. Well Jerry and I are going to do a tubed pre soon. Thanks bud:)
Again very nice indeed!
Congrats
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I blew a power transformer last night.:(
Which sucks. Because finally someone was coming by to pick up a part and have a listen to the amp. And the dang thing breaks down.
Oh well. Gives me a reason to get the one I wanted in the beginning anyway. I opted out for a cheaper transformer during the build to try and save a little money. I guess it got me in the end.
Oh well. You live and your learn..

Your Allied transformer should be under warranty. Call them up, they will replace it.

I wondered about that. I'll give them a call today.

Bummer! It didn't damage any of the other components did it?

No.
I talked to Allied yesterday and they are sending me a new transformer free of charge.
I think the last one was a fluke. If it breaks down again I'll go to something better.

Yeah Baby! Were back in business.:D
Cheers
