B&W 604 has no bass!

Hey guys, I need some help here.

My rig is currently in my little home office room, hooked up to my computer. I have an Elite VSX54TX fed into a B&K Reference 7250, which powers my B&W 604S1. I like the way they sound just fine, except for the fact that I have no bass. I just picked up a pair of Paradigm Reference 20's, V2, and plopped them on top of my B&W speakers. They instantly confirmed that something is wrong with my 604 setup, as they had way more bass than the B&W's.

In my last house, they were great. About 12" from the wall, nowhere near any corners. The listening sofa was right against the back wall. I know this really made it bass heavy when you sat back all the way, but in a normal sitting position it was great. The room was also a good bit larger than the current setup room. Now the room is probably about 12'x13'. The speakers sit in the corners along one wall, toed in to aim at the center of the back wall. The back of the cabinets are only 6" or so from each wall in the corner. I have tried reversing the polarity of one side to see if it was a cancellation problem, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. The 604's are front ported, while the Monitor 20s are rear ported, if this makes a difference. This room is also rather square, unlike the previous room that was more of a rectangle. It also opened into a hallway in one corner. This room is just a plain old box.

So I need to sell one of these pairs of speakers. My intention was to sell the monitors, but after listening side by side, maybe I should get rid of the tower speakers instead. What should I try before I give up on the B&W's?

Thanks for reading,
Alex

You either have a bad crossover, or woofer, or you connected them + and - to the wrong binding posts.
The 604's have good bass response. I know them personally

I know they do as well. In the last setup they were great. The woofers are all functional, in fact there is plenty of movement in the drivers, it just seems that the room makes it all for not.
