+1!!! The cabinetry is awesome. That is one of the things I don't like about this hobby.
Very few (affordable)speakers are attractive. The RTiA9 (in cherry), and LSi's being the exception.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Notice how much resin they put onto the XO. I supposed to prevent others from reverse engineered the XO?

^^^^Yeah, Polka! I think the whole XO is sealed in Resin to prevent from wondering eyes as well as to stop any resonances (and vibrations, noise) due to rattling inside the cabinet.

people are either to cheap to recognise brilliance or they just dont care any more.

those speakers are as much a work of art as a Ferrari or a Bentley. Congrats to anyone that has a pair...

They are as pretty as Wilsons are ugly. How could two makers
of great speakers have such a different approach to cabinet work?

No, it's to prevent the components from resonating. Wilson does the same thing in the Watt and possibly some of their other speakers.

Such beautiful speakers. One of my top 3 .

No way no how not now:D Some guys here have made much nicer stuff than I have. My boxes are nice and square, but I am not setup to do work like that. I do hope to get into traditional high class speakers some day. I really just started getting into this hobby about 2 years ago. I'm learning at a fast pace, but there is much more ahead on the road I am traveling;)
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    Sonus Faber Amati (Anniversario)

They sound even better than they look. If I couldn't have my SDA's, they would be the speakers I own.

It would look better im my living room. I wonder if the guitars vibrate from the speakers and create distortion.

I agree, they should have used long plastic poles and attached them to the wall instead.

I love the workmanship of their speakers and the use of leather in some a their models looks very stylish. I've seen a few people build their own speakers using that sectioned method, but it is A LOT of work. Although, the results are unequaled. :D

The pictures don't show it, but the look and feel of the finish on these Opera speakers is absolutely incredible. So I got close to the Amati :)

I played with these for a short while. They are very nice sounding speakers. Just a tad too hot on the highs for my system. Maybe if I had some tubes I would have kept them.
