Help with static

First things first: Here is my set up:
Reciever: Onkyo TX-SR606
Front Towers: Polk TSI300 (x 2)
Center: Polk CSI A4
Subwoofer: Polk PSW 125
2 Rears: Polk OWM3 (x 2)
I had installers come out a couple weeks ago to install and hook up everything, but they used Optical and Digital cables for my PS3 and cable box. I wanted HDMI for audio so I just hooked that up today. Now, I notice static coming from the center and the 2 front towers. I asked on another forum and they said to check your speaker cables and I did and I think they're ok. So does anyone know how to get rid of it? If you need anymore info or anything let me know. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.

The obvious would be a bad HDMI cable.Political Correctness'.........defined

If it happened right after you installed the HDMI cable...that's probably what's causing it. I'd look into getting a different HDMI cable.

Well, I don't really think it's the HDMI that is a problem. 1. They are new high quality Monster cables and 2. I tested it and it still makes the noise even when the Cable box and PS3 is off. So when the Onkyo is the only one still on, it still does it. So I'm thinking it must be the speaker wire cables or settings in the Onkyo. I'm not sure if anyone is too familiar with the Onkyo recievers, but would there be a setting internally that could change it?

There are no settings that I know of that cause static -- this is a hardware or interference issue of some kind. Given the timing of it occurring when the HDMI cable was installed, that would have been my first guess too. And the supposed high quality and/or manufacturer in no way guarantees you against having a bad cable.
I'd just go through a process of elimination here, unplugging everything and then plugging things back in one at a time and see if you can make sense of it all.Speakers: Polk LSi15

Your word for the day is oxymoron.
Did you change anything else when you added the HDMI cables?Political Correctness'.........defined

So you didn't have this issue before you installed the HDMI cable right? It started right after the installation of the HDMI cable? It sounds like the HDMI cable.
Just so you know...Monster Cable isn't exactly synonymous with quality. It's better defined as "crap that costs way to much". There are much better options out there. All that aside, it's entirely possibly that you got a defective cable. It happens fairly frequently.
monoprice, as mentioned above would be a good choice.

I don't know if this is a problem, but the speaker cables are all looped together in a circle. I took some pics of the back of the receiver and the connections to see if any of you can spot a problem.

None of those links work. But coiling speaker cables can cause issues, yes. Easy enough to test that theory though -- just get in there and start experimenting and see what changes.Speakers: Polk LSi15

I wouldn't think the "coiling" done on those cables would be causing you any issues.Speakers: Polk LSi15

As F1nut mentioned it must be the HDMI cable.

Perhaps something was knocked loose when the hdmi cable was installed? Check your connections.

My guess is defective HDMI cable. Try a Monoprice and see if that works.
If not, the problem might be the AC power, possibly the wall outlet. As previoisly posted, try an outlet in a differnt room. In fact, you might try this first before spending money on another HDMI cable.
