Hello all,

I had a pair of RT400s that were damaged in transit - the woofer and tweeter magnets were knocked off and it seems to be pretty darned near impossible to put back on without damaging the coils.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether I can buy replacement parts from Polk? The CSR I spoke to was clueless about this older model.

Many TIA!

    Hello,
The RT400 uses the SL5500 as the tweeter and the MW8002 as the mid range/base driver. The tweeter sells for $60.00 with a Club Polk price of $48.00 each. The problem is that we no longer have the necessary parts to build the MW8002 driver and since this is a unique sized driver (7.5" as opposed to a standard 6.5" or 8" driver) there isn't a substitute that we can recommend.
In this kind of situation we can work with you to replace the complete speaker. Please feel free to telephone myself or Kim Jasper at 1-800-377-7655 and we can work with you.
    Regards, Ken
