hi new to the forum and polk speakers, i have a friend who works for fry's and he was able to get a pair of the rti8 for $250, but change his mind and offered them to me. dont know to much about polk. one is new in the box and the other was a open box item with a small crack in the bottom plastic part, but does not effect performance or sound. so is this a good deal? any info would be great

thanks

Rti8s retailed for over over 800 dollars a pair.

    I'd say that's a GREAT DEAL!

Very good price, I paid almost as much for some Rti6's. What do you mean by "crack in the bottom plastic part"? If it is where the "polkaudio" logo is, I don't think it would affect the sound unless it was a big crack.

250.00 for a 800.00 speakers, do the math. They are worth every penny at 800.00. They are very nice sounding speakers.

Yeah...with shipping it'd probably end up being more than the ones for 250$.

So what's the verdict? Gonna pull the trigger on em or what?
