    That's CS400, not CS400i, but still a super-duper center.

In fact, I can't find a CS400 in the Polk search engine. I can't find one on this list either. http://www.polkaudio.com/search/older-models.php
I found the CS400i but no CS400. Hmmmmm

i Models replaced the original RT series. i series have blue drivers and a different crossover. Trust me, I have the original CS400, just like his. Made a world of a difference when I upgraded from CS245.

I like my cs400 so much I might have to cut the top out of my new entertainment center to make it fit. I miscalculated it's height by 1/4". Might have to buy your's and make fronts out of them:rolleyes:

It does have a black driver instead of my blue and I have a pair of RT7's with black drivers but I can't find the non-i anywhere on the Polk site.

I never understood why they don't have the 400 on the website. Can't even find the manual, just for the 400i. I do have the manual with the speaker.

There are no website product pages for any of that original RT line. I have the CS400, RT55, RT800 and RT35 and have some of the manuals too. I was able to check the specifications compared to the specifications for the equivalent RT_i products and, IIRC, in ALL cases except the RT35, they are absolutely identical from the top of the page to the bottom, line by line, except that the RT_i are real wood, not vinyl (which obviously changes the wieght too ...). I'm not sure what this says about the crossover being different, but I have heard that mentioned before in one of these threads.

They are all great products, with the right amplification IMO. My NAD receiver seems to be an especially successful match with them that I would highly recommend: very strong, detailed bass, and the consequential ability to lower the crossover as low as 60, or even 40Hz . Pretty amazing IMO, and it really makes them shine, especially for music.

I am delighted with them. All you could ever want for HT and very good with music too (music performance was possibly the biggest difference with the addition of the NAD receiver), but I too will be going in-ceiling some time this year (most likely Polk LCi).
    Alea jacta est!

Hmmm. You are right. My RT7s do make the web site's line up though. How strange.
