If I go to Audioquest's website - some of their Analog IC products crash my computer :mad:

Any IC in the DBS series causes my computer to do a soft reset.

Same with their Price List.

I'm running MS Windows 2000, IE ver 6 and Adobe Flash v9.

Same thing if I browse using Firefox and Flash v9.

That's just bad web design.

    In terms of audio, i truly feel sorry for the visually impaired. How can they know what they like if they cant read google?

    What OS and browser version are you running?

    I never have any problems on their site, even years ago when running MS ME (an absolutely awful OS). I just now went to it with no problems. I'm still running XP Pro and IE7.

    Thanks for checking...I'm running a whole version behind you for both the OS and browser.

    Still...a good web design should not cause a computer to reset.

    You might try checking on a new version of video drivers, those have a tendency to cause issues especially if theres flash running....

    AH! Good call - cuz this happens if I'm running IE or Firefox. Could be that calls from the flash are causing a video memory problem.

    Doncha just love computers? HT is just as complicated. :confused:

    Thanks,

    Eww, all flash. There's nothing on there that couldn't have been done faster, and better looking, than in traditional html/javascript. Once again, they do it in flash to someone else's detriment.

    If you can hang on until late summer, windows 7 is expected to be out by then. Don't upgrade to Vista anything!

    Windows 7?

    I guess that Microsuck decided to drop the fancy code names for their OS...probably a good thing as folks were making up alternate names for their OS...

    NT = Not Trustworthy
    XP = Extra Problems
    Vista = Virtually impossible stability/troubled always

    I hate OS upgrades....

    It is my understanding that you are only going to be able to upgrade to Win 7.0 from Vista. This is according to a Dell sales rep. My cousin just bought a laptop with XP on it and it came with a Vista disc so he can upgrade to Win 7.

    I don't know how accurate this info is so I would check it out.

    So Windows 7 is an upgrade only?

    What happens if you buy a brand new computer after Win 7 comes out?

    Does the outlet first install XP then upgrade to Win 7? That is completely idiotic. :confused:

    Try another browser first. (Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome) If you still have the same problem, then look into updates for the rest of the OS or hardware (video, etc).

    If you don't have the problem with the other browsers, then you can concentrate your troubleshooting to IE (patches, plug-ins, any other add-ons).

    I don't believe it is an upgrade only. However I was told that to upgrade to 7 you must first have Vista. As I said before this came from a Dell rep.

    I actually heard the opposite. If you are running VISTA you cannot "upgrade" to Windows 7.

    From everything I've read, you can upgrade from Vista/XP or do a clean install regardless of the OS.

    Re-install/update Flash.

    Here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    Holy crap I just saw your specs. Make sure you have SP4 on windows 2000, and maybe try IE 7. The flash update may fix it as well.

    You're joking...of course, right :confused:

    Forcing users to do a system upgrade so that they are compatible with a vendor website is going about webdesign backwards...been there...I've done my own websites and have changed code to be backwards compatible.

    I leave to door open that I have to upgrade a video driver. Drivers are the bane of system compatibility - but a system upgrade is like tossing the baby out with the bathwater...or whatever that saying is... ;)

    Hmm, you seriously might want to think about upgrading your OS at the very least in the near future. First of all, driver updates are unlikely to continue coming out for the NT operating system. Secondly, win2k is definitely not up to date on security patches. I think you probably want to keep usernames/passwords to yourself as well as credit card info out of the hands of malware ;)
