Well, things went just went from bad to worse. I've got to travel to New London, CT on Saturday to attend a funeral and bury an old friend. My friend Joe died on Tueday from Mesothelioma. Damn asbestos! They used to use asbestos for insulation on the hot surfaces inside submarines. My friend spent nine years on subs. RIP Joe!:(

Hey warm weather folks. Be a little kinder to us 'poh folks living in the cold. When we complain about the cold, it like REALLY hurts. This is serious hurt for us. Then yoos guys come back and say, like, "Wahl, it's 60 degrees here" or whatever.

How would you feel if you posted that your mother died and how bad it was and such. Then we came back and said "Wahl, my mother is still alive here in Miami." and, oh by the way "it's 70 and sunny" and such. eh? eh?

Anyway, sorry about the rant. Nothing else to do sitting in this friggin ice box.

Only good thing is I own a commercial snow removal company and have been raking in the bucks this winter (with due sensitivity to unemployed warm folks) :):)

I used to like riding my bike in that temperture range. It seemed to run well, and I wore long underwear for sking under a full set of leathers. It was the only time of the year I was really comfortable on the bike.

WHAT? I don't even sit on my bike if it's below 60. The only time you were comfortable was below 40? What are you made of, lava?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

He was talking about in the 40s, not below. As I said I was wearing long underwear, full leathers, along with gloves, boots, and a full face helmet. In the fall, spring, summer it is hotter than hades in full leathers, even with minimal underwear under the leathers.

Sorry, my mother spends her winters in south Texas, and every time I speak to her on the phone, it's always a smug "wellllll, it only got up to 75 todaaaay, so I guess we'll have to turn off the AC..." Luckily, she can't see me ****.:D

Don't worry I didn't take that as any offense to your post.

I kid around a little I'm glad we have Global Warming or I have a ice rink as my in-ground pool would freeze over. ;)
