Here is a worse story.... When I was a junior resident my senior resident was called in to the ER because someone accidently cut off all fingers of both hands except the thumbs. Turns out the poor patient had a great idea to trim the hedges with his lawnmower. Worked great until he put the lawnmower down. He was grasping the lawnmower by the bottom so when he extended his fingers they were all cut by the blades. Not one hour later another patient shows up in the ER. All fingers except the thumbs cut off. Turns out he was driving home and on his way he saw somebody trimming their hedges with their lawnmower. He thought this was a great idea.
My senior resident swore this was true....I never did meet the patients so I have always suspected that this might be urban legend.

That just reminded me of the time I saw a woman in the ER with her hand still in the meat grinder...poor lady.

I think it might be since I've heard that story before.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
