Whats up all???

Today was a very good day. My partner and myself got to install one of my all time favorite speakers.... The awesome and powerful 802 D series.
All I can say is unbelievable. Fit and finish second to none. The natural chreey finish can make ones heart stop. Before we even hooked them up, I was in awe... My god...

Dude had a pair of Thiel 3.7's that he just could not get to his liking. He was powering them with a pair of Classe Mono's. All wires where Audioquest.

Here is a few snaps for your viewing pleasure.IMG_0832.jpg

I like them with tubes. I've heard them with Classe', but after
glass, it just wasn't the same. Still, a very nice setup. Better than
anything I've had around here. Someday.......

Doesn't look like much breathing space for those Classe mono's.

What a beautiful pair of B&Ws. I've actually never seen these guys up close, only photos. But they look great in your room!

What's on the music playlist agenda for those?

Actually there is a good amount of room in there and the back is removed. They don't get to hot in there.

I'm not sure, the customer had something already in the cd player when we sat and listened to it. I didn't ask who it was but even right out of the box they where sounding pretty good. They require a lot of break in time. He is going to let them play before he really sits down with them.

I'd say that your customer has better taste in Audio gear than he does in room decor.

I'm sure the sound is to die for, just close your eyes :D

Nice! But that tweeter in the black enclosure reminds of one of them Magic 8 Balls.

+1 Exactly what I was thinking. The looks don't do it for me.

Man, you have it rough.:D I listened to the N802's when I was auditioning speakers. They were my second choice. If I would have heard the "D" series they probably would be sitting in my room instead of the Revels. They are that good. Still may get a pair one day.

Damn, mantis, that looks like it was fun. I would have never left. Where in PA do you work? I would love to come work doing audio installs if the whole college degree doesn't help me get a job come June:o

I have always liked the B&W diamond line. My buddy started off with the 803S, then traded up to the 803D. After almost another year, traded up to the 802D's powered by Classe. I was a very very lucky recipient of his upgrades. He gave me the htm2d when he upgraded to the htm1d. I recently got myself the 803D's to go with the center. The color is a mismatch though, the center is black and my 803D's are rosenut. When I head back to Oklahoma next week, Ill post pics of my setup. I however, do not have those Classe amps.
