Found these on the local craigslist. I am guessing they are pretty decent speakers but thought I would post to see what you guys think.

I never heard a pair of Thiels I didn't like the way they sound, but they are damn ugly to me. I rank them in the looks with Vanterstein and Magnapans. I'm not a fan of old looking speakers. But all the above sound amazing in there own right.
Music is there game and they do it well.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Those are ugly for sure, but everyone I know who has owned a pair of Thiels raves.

Love the sound. Hate the 84-85db efficiency. You need one (or more) monster amps to drive them.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p
Amp = Carver AV-705THX 5-Channel
Processor = NAD T747
Panasonic BD35 Blu-Ray
Main = SDA-1C Studio with RD0s, spikes, XO rebuild, rings, I/C upgrade
Center=Polk CS10, Surround = Athena Dipoles, Sub= Boston 12HO
Music/Video Streaming = Netgear NEO550
TT = Audio Technica -
Plus, they are one of the only speakers I can think of that I think look better with the grills on then off.

You guys are right. They are pretty ugly. I figured they were good speakers, just wasn't sure.

I owned some Thiels and they are great speakers. These are fugly, though.
Thiel customer service is exceptional and they can probably refoam the surround and recloth the grills for $100 or so.
