Hello Mantis,
You had suggested I try Kimber cables for HF . Have read several reviews on the product and they sound to be exactly what I am looking for, Especially excited about trying the 4TC's.
Only problem am having a big problem finding the product by a reputible dealer online, especially terminated. Noone as far as I could find out sells it locally. I wrote Kimber an e-mail a couple of days ago, have not heard back.
Could you recommend a dealer online or otherwise.
Thanks for your time, Stuff.

Where do you live? There is a couple of Kimber dealers around here.
    I don't buy online so I can't help you there...sorry dude.
Wire gotta be demo'd in my opnion.I feel Kimber is the right choice for you but I didn't hear your system and what it needs.Only going off what your looking for.
Well I hope you make out,if not we can talk about other kinds of wire that might do the trick ok?

Well thanks for the reply...Columbus OH. I may have to go to AudioCraft up in Cleveland to pick up a pair... I'm going to try Progressive here in town.....but it's not on their product list.
    Peace Stuff

Doesn't it seem like you should just be able to hand braid some decent quality 18/14 gauge strands into the kimber pattern and basically get a kimber cable? Especially the interconnects with such a loose braid. I'd be interested to read an A+B review of someone who has a stock pair of kimber's versus a pair that he's unbraided and just ran straight to the speaker.

    Hey Ceruleance,
Yes Basically, but it would be hard to find the quality of the metal compounds used by Kimber and almost impossible to reproduce the Veristrand technoligy used by the wire maker......
I ordered the 4tc pair today...from audio advisor, anybody ever heard of these guys?????Was able to audition but not purchase from a stereo store due to the fact that the only people who carry the cable here in Ohio are installers.
I will let you guys know the outcome.

    STUFFMD,

I also live in Columbus. I don't think Progressive carries anything but MIT, I could be wrong though... I've been there a few time and have only seen the high dollar MIT's...

A friend of mine bought some Kimber 8TC from audio advisor. Worked out well. IF I were you though I'd check out audiogon for used cable, save yourself some money!

    Thanks Tryrrthg,
Actually the price at Audio advisor was pretty good for new, Iwas pretty disappointed with Progressive audios selection of cables. like you said, Mit or Monster and everyone in town has Monster cable.
I have always been leary of buying used, have you had good experience with used....yea we could all save some cash.
    Peace, StuffMD

I've bought a few things used... but only one of them was from a stranger... I just got some Dynaudio 1.3mkII's in perfect condition. Only 5 months old for less than half of the new price... Now I wish I could afford an amp to go along with them...

Cables I would GLADLY buy used, especially on my budget... how beat up can a cable really be... I've seen 10 foot pairs of Kimber 4TC go for 100 bucks at audiogon. you just have to be patient!

Yea, I looked up audiogon and the Kimbers all seemed to be sold, makes me feel even better about my decision to purchase.I know what you mean though, if I was going to try to buy somthing used, cable would be the least risky, one would think??!!!
