Hello all. I have two PSW150's. They are displayed next to each other.

My question is what shouel the phase be on both. I have one reversed and the other not. My understanding is that the soundwaves would work as one pushing and one pulling.

What about the crossovers. I have one on the highest freq. and the other on the lower freq. is this the best setup??

I have a Pioneer Elite rec. I believe the new 94. Sweet receiver.

Thanks for the help.

TK

I don't know a ton about phase but what I do know is, you shouldn't judge that by anything technical, you should listen to it in all different phase selections and decide what is best for yourself and your specific set up. If it were up to me I would have each sub crossed over at the same frequency. If somebody knows something that I don't, feel free to correct me on this.

    Hi Tk
I would seperate the subs - one in each corner of the room and set the FR cutoff at 80Hz. Then set the phase as described in the previous post. If that doesn't sound better, put the 2 subs back side by side.

    Don't be shy about experimenting.

Another option is suggested by THX's website to put them in the middle of opposing walls (see attached link below) While I agree it is best to experiment and see what works best for your setup, this is just another option for you to explore.

Wow. Thanks for the response guys. I never thought of stacking one on top of the other. That would save some room.

On movies the bass seems WAY too much but on musical Blurays it is always insufficent and I have tried everything that I know in my febale brain.

I will try the XO on the reciever. I have a new Pioneer Elite receiver. Not sure the model of it while I'm at work.

Thanks for all the info. I appreciate the help. New to this- it's good to know that others share our affliction.

    Thanks again
