I just got home from spending $2500 on photo equipment. How much trouble am I in? I can only push the 'I'm doing it for the baby' button so many times.

    you're on your own, Shelby.

What were you thinking, anyway? had you bought some MIT cables, she might let you slide.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Sounds like you have some sucking up to do. You better start showing her some real hart warming pictures to soften her up.

Nice start. When are you picking up the rest of the gear? ;)

:DJust tell her that you were inspired to do your part to help improve our ailing economy and that it might seem like a lot now, but when compared to the economic stimulus package thats coming this is just about 1/100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000th of a percent.:rolleyes:

It's better to ask for forgiveness then permission. So so far you did the right thing.

Sucking up is standard practice my man , go a good job. Tell her the truth why you purchased the gear, thats what I do and she gets over it....... or does she??? HMMM.

We have a artsy fartsy Art Deco style couch, it looks really nice but it's not that great to sleep on.

    Whoa, pump your brakes buddy.

Its all good in the house here. She knew I was going to be buying some new photo stuff, just not this much. I showed her the camera and explained all the things that it will do better than the old one. She's cool with it. Just need the baby to pop out now so I can take some photos of it and have the new equipment start to pay dividends.

If I spent $2500 on Photo or Audio equipment....a place to crash would be the least of my worries.
I'd be taking a dirt nap in the backyard....well ok right now a snow nap!

I'll be dumping $2500 - 3k on another ride for myself in the Spring.
(Since mine is going to the big rust barrel in the sky)
Photo or Audio equipment at that price is definitely out of the question!

$2500 doesn't really go very far when you're talking good quality SLR camera equipment....

At least you don't need one of these,... that'll make her feel better.
