Comparable with rt25i
After 10 years, I have finally stepped up from 5.1 to 7.1. My rears for the 5.1 are currently rt25i's. Because they don't manufacture them anymore, what newer line of bookshelfs are comparable to the rt25i's? Thanks.

Any of the RTi series speakers would match it. Specifically, the RTi A1. As I said though, any of the RTi series would work fine.

If interested, hang around for a while and learn a bit more, then post a WTB thread in the Flea Market.

You should not have much difficulty in finding older RTxx(i) models used to match those. Anything from big bookshelf RT55/RT55i or smaller RT35/RT35i would be good choices. Otherwise, especially if you don't like buying used, the newer models will blend nicely, if not perfectly (most importantly, perhaps, the type of tweeter used was modified).

That would probably really be your best bet. They pop up for sale on here semi-frequently. Ebay tends to get quite a few of the RT25i's listed too.
What's the rest of your setup? You could possibly look into getting some of the new RTi A floorstanders, and move whatever you have now back to surround duty, and use the RT25i's for surround backs. Just an idea, I don't know if that will fit your budget or not.The nirvana inducer-

2 Rt1000i's, 1 CS400i, 2 Rt25i's w/ an Onkyo TX-SR606 7.1 (finally upgraded from TS-DX484 5.1), Philips DVD Recorder (3 yrs old, next on the list), Dish Network. I did actually find 1 set of Rt25i's on Ebay, used, the bid is up to $39 with $20 shipping, 4 days left. I would rather buy new so I will look for some Rt series online. Thanks to all for the help. I'm glad I finally joined "the club".
