Atrium 45 troubles

One of my Atrium 45's has no base almost all of the time. All I get is a faint treble. Once in a while full sound will come back briefly but then cu back out. Crutchfield said it's either a bad woofer or crossover. Anyone else have this problem? How hard is it to change one of these if they're bad?
