PSW250 has some distortion

I seem to have a problem with either the amp or the driver. I'm getting some distortion when I turn up the volume. The bass is very muddy. I'm thinking this is the woofer. Does anybody have the make/model of the 8" driver used in the PSW250?

    I found the model number and also the problem with this subwoofer. The model of the driver is RD-2505-1/2. The problem with it is that it had packing peanuts between the driver frame and the diaphragm! Works great with the peanuts removed.
