Well i've got the guy down to $50 for the 7C's, and i'll be going to check them this evening. I'm still wondering if i can use these with my current setup until the polk ebay store has some A9's in stock.

    Current set up-

    RTi A3's
    CSi A6
    Pioneer Elite 92

I'd imagine it would be fine to use them in your HT setup. It might sound a little bit mismatched...but it would probably be just fine.

I'd say that's a good price...I've been watching them a lot lately, and I've seen em go for about double that.

$50 is a steal. Try them out atleast and see how you like them. If you don't like them then you could always resell them and make a profit.

I was supposed to go and check them out tonight, but that fell through, all though we have rescheduled for tomorrow night. The nice thing about this is that he's going to let me hear them first, so that's a plus.

He says the cabinets are in excellent condition, but from looking at the pics the face of them look like they might be a little damaged. Regardless though i'll find out tomorrow how they really look in sound in person.

That sucks man, especially since it was by a dollar!

Yeah...I hate getting out bid by a dollar or something like that...I probably could have scraped up the extra dollar for em...lol I think he won by proxy though. Oh well...I'll get some sooner or later. There's a couple other pairs I'm keeping my eye on right now.

Man, the guy with the 7C's is leaving for the weekend, so i won't be getting them today, bummer.

Do you guys know of anywhere else to by the RTi A9's besides on Polk Audio Direct. I know they will be a lot more expensive brand new, but do any stores have any sort of deals going on, or possibly coupon codes to use to make them cheaper?

Crutchfield and Amazon have them...but you'd end up paying upwards of 800 dollars PER speaker through them. Versus 850 a pair through Polk Direct.

I'm not sure of any special discounts or promotions going on right now.

Let us know how you like them when you get them, and the condition of them (which is my main concern buying a refurbished product).

Polk Direct has a great reputation. I've never heard of a single person that got a speaker from them and was unhappy with it. I've never even heard of any of the speakers from them having any significant cosmetic blemishes. Everyone I've ever heard of has been very satisfied with the service and quality from Polk Direct.

    Nice.
I might just settle for the A7's so i can buy an amp along with it. Considering the A9's need an amp and i won't be able to afford one for some time if i buy them. I can always sell them if the thought of the A9's doesnt go away lol.:D

Still undecided as you can clearly tell..:o

One thing i forgot to mention, my room is kind of small, it's 12x15, would the A9's be to much for a room of this size, or be just fine? I'm just trying to take everything into consideration.
