Well i finally did it, i sold my RTi10's today, i got $500 for the pair.

I wanted to pick up the RTi A9's tomorrow from Polk Audio Direct (ebay store). They had a few pairs at the beginning of the week, but of course, now they don't have any in stock, just my luck.

I orginally wanted to sell my RTi10's and replace them with the RTi A7's, mainly because i like the look of the A7's much better. Polk Audio Direct actually has a few pairs of the A7's right now as well, and they are going for $500. So the only extra money i'd have to spend out of pocket would be $160 to pay for the shipping. If i get the A9's, i'll end up paying an extra $560 out of pocket.

So now i'm torn between getting the A7's now and only pay an extra $160 out of pocket, or holding tight and waiting for Polk Audio Direct to restock and pay an extra $560 for the A9's.

Wow, this kind of sucks as money tends to burn a whole in my pocket and i'm not the most patient person in the world. Had the ebay store had the A9's right now it would most likely be a done deal. But considering they don't have them, and i have no clue when they will get more (i called and they said they don't know), i'm starting to think about getting the A7's again.

And wow, one day without towers and i really miss them!!!! Using my RTi A3's up front along with my CSi A6 is just definetly not the same.

Hmm, i suppose if i get the A7's i could use the left over money i was willing to spend and get an Emotiva XPA-3 (being indecisive can be a pain :o).

Decision time i suppose..:p

I called Polk yesterday as well for some RTI A9's for a friend and the lady said check back at the end of the month. The RTI a9's are well worth the wait. Big step up from the rtia7's.

    WAIT

Go big or go home. :D

I'd wait for the A9's myself. Better midrange...better bass response...they'd be well worth the wait IMO.

They're stock is constantly changing on Polk Direct...I'm sure they'll have some more before to long. Be patient...you'll be much happier with the A9's.

Hmm, the end of the month huh, a couple weeks with no towers (well a few weeks including shipping time), that's gonna be a tough wait lol. But yes, GO BIG OR GO HOME, and like i said the other day, i'll probably kick myself if i settle for the A7's.

Maybe this would be a fine time for me to practice patience! :p

I feel so weak without my towers, must...not...give...in!!!

    You guys are right.
    Thanks for the support..:D

You just missed a pair on Audiogon. A guy on the east coast had a black pair in great condition for $749 OBO and they were on there for a couple months.

Wow! Hell i could use those until the A9's come in, and then make a profit reselling them. I gave the guy an email, hopefully he still has them and didn't just forget to delete his add.

    Thanks! :)

Oh nice, i'll have to give that guy a call in the morning.
Seems he's willing to let whoever buys them audition them, so that's a plus as well.

I've never heard them, or of them. But for $65, and considering i can hear them first, i'll snatch them up if they sound good (if he still has them of course).

The 7C's are some fine speakers...one of my friends dads has a pair of them being powered by an Adcom 555 through an older HK receiver...they sound amazing IMO.

I'm hoping to pick up a pair of them sometime soon...possibly even tomorrow actually depending on how things go...

For music they're great. I've since crossed over to the vintage side for music and the prices VS sound is amazing. My craigslist findings have packed my basement with over 6 pair of polks vintage speakers.

LOL Damn, you snooze you lose i guess, i should of been quicker! :p haha

Another question about the 7C's, would it work alright to hook them up along with my CSi A6 and RTi A3's while i wait for the A9's to become available?

I mean would it sound ok, or be horribly mismatched and not worth hooking them up with those?

Also, just out of curiosity, how much are the 7C's worth, given they are in good condition?
