Sorry if i post this in the wrong section, its my first post!!!

anyways, i have an Onkyo 606 that alows me to adjust freq to my speakers. I have 4 R50's, 2 front and 2 rear.. along with a Paridigm cc170 center and a Element ESW12 for my sub.. the sub freq's are 20-200hz..... my question is, where should i set the crossovers for my R50's at? I have heard 80hz but my deaf ears cant really tell a difference!!

Thanks

I have the same receiver, and I had good luck just using the Audyssey system in it. It should have a setup microphone.

It's all about what you prefer though really. I've got some 3-way bookshelves with 8" woofers for my fronts, and I have them set to full band most of the time for music. Sometimes though I'll also set the front crossover to 60-80 hz.

What I'd probably do is set the sub's low pass filter to 100hz and set the fronts for full band. That's just my preference though. 200 hz is a pretty high crossover point for a sub. You could also try setting the fronts for 60 or 80 as well, but if you were gonna cross them at 80 you might want to switch the sub to 120hz XO point. Like I said though...those are my preferences. You've just gotta go with what sounds best in your ear.
