    Chopin was the first composer to fully grasp the possibilities of the piano and Ivan Moravec has been one of his greatest performers. These three should get you started:

    I believe these are CD reissues of the Connoisseur Society LPs that I have been listening to since the '60s. I still love them.

    This guy, Thomas Quasthoff, is an exceptional baritone and an interesting story. He does various lieder on this album.
