i am trying to install the speakers into a high-rise condo comples in boston. I was wondering if you have pre-made spacers for these speakers. I need to fill a 1/2inch gap between the speaker trim and wall. My goal is not to build them my self. Or if you make a version of this speaker with a smaller magnet that would be fine also. any other sugestion would be great.

Hi, are you saying that the depth of the speaker wont fit into your cutout w/o hitting the back side surface?? Standard depth for stud walls w/3 1/2" studs is 4" (with 1/2" drywall). If 2 1/2" studs were used, that only gives you a depth of 3" to play with. What's on the other side of the wall you're mounting speakers on? If it's just a utility room or other unfinished space, you could cut out the other side enough to mount your speakers. If that's not an option, then a simple "picture frame" could be made from 1/2" or thicker stock to give you the needed depth, although flush mount would look better IMO. Good Luck !!:)

yes...the metal studs are only 2 1/2 inches. so with drywall this only gives me a total of 3 inches of mounting depth. his bedroom is on the other side of the wall so cutting the back is not an option. i was looking to avoiding making 5 spacers for the speakers my self. was hoping that polk had a ready made solution. i made a bracket for the subwoofer and he is ok with it...but that is mounted low and in the corner. i was also wondering if polk made a replacement driver for the "woofer" of the tc-265i that had a shallower monting depth. the midrange half of the speaker(top half) will mount flush...it is just the bottom half that sticks away from the wall.
