Best New HT Speakers with old RT25i
Well I have decided that it is about time to step up my HT setup and need your help deciding on the direction that I should go. My current setup is a simple Denon stereo receiver, a pair of RT25i's and a psw10. I am really happy with RT's that I have and would like to use them in the new setup.
At the moment I will purchase either an Onkyo 606 or Denon 1909 receiver, obviously to take full advantage of either receiver I will need to add a center channel and two additional speakers. My room is only large enough for a 5.1 setup. Following are the components that I am considering.
Option 1:
Front: RTi A3
Center: CSi A6 (luckily I have plenty of room)
Rear: RT25i
Option 2:
Front: RT25i
Center: CSi A6
Rear: FXi A4
Option 3:
Front: RT25i
Center: CSi A6
Rear: RTi A1
Option 4:
Suggestions?
Do you think any of these options will sound good together?
The only caveat is that I need to use bookshelf speakers for the fronts.
So what do you think? Can you help a newbie out? Which one would you choose?

I'd go with option 1 myself. The RT25i would be a good match for any of those speakers though.
The Onkyo 606 is a great entry level receiver. That's what I have, just know that it doesn't have any pre-amp outputs though. So if you ever intend to hook up an external amplifier with your system, you'd do better to look at the 706 or 806. That fact aside though...the 606 is a great receiver.
By the way...welcome to Club Polk.

As long as you're happy with them why not just add another pair of RT25i's for the rears. They can be found on ebay now and then.

Good idea, might have to hunt around a little. Thanks!
Any other suggestions for a 90% HT 10% music setup? -
