I am new to this forum so I guess I could be adding to it and not know it. There is a lot of change going on in the world right now and most of not for the good.

I really like the CP forum, I had never seen Karma giveaways before which I think speaks volumes for the people who shaped CP to what it is today.

As a noob to CP it would be great to know if I am doing something that is not quite right here, can't fix what I don't know is broken. I do try to be helpful and respectful.

Sometimes things just can't be fixed and as men thats what we try to do.

Anyway, this too shall pass and hey it's Friday:D and I start hanging acoustic panals tomorrow.

I haven't learned any audio stuff from this forum. I used to sell audio equipment from Circuit City so I know how to put together a system and tie it all up but I really don't know what's better than what other than some basics. Then again I never really get into any audio related threads. I also don't think I've made any friends here. Then again, who really wants to be friends with the help? :p

Lots of DEFENSIVE noobs here. It only takes a few to ruin it. Sit back and enjoy and stop being so defensive.

I do. Last summer when tragedy struck my world many of the people on this forum and in this very thread were incredibly supportive. And even though I have an extensive background in electronics and audio I have learned tons and tons. Some incredibly knowledgable and amazingly kind people here.

Clique is usually all the Guys with expensive stuff or big bux who have been with the forum for years.
I run into this everywhere I have gone(for the past 15yrs) and it's actually quite depressing. :(

A lot of you newer members are sooooo defensive and assume YOU are the issue. Calm down there are only a few that just joined who are really rubbing people the wrong way. It happens and yes, CP has to deal with it. As much as they have a right to join this open forum..............others have a right to voice their displeasure with how they conduct themselves. It goes both ways.

F1's comment is just a general comment that happens everywhere. Mozart are you feeling unloved here? If not, let it go and move on. I believe you've integrated well, contributed some and gotten some great advice. That's waht it's all about.

I was totally a audiophile brainiac when I first started, wholley crap I just looked back and my first thread was about the Modwright SWL 9.0 SE. When I first started my system, by club polk standards, was way nicer then it is now. Not to mention I READ before I came here, I was well versed in the Harley's complete guide to high end audio.

As for the noob thing, I think it is the sudden influx of people asking the SAME questions over and over that is frustrating, not to mention guys who come to only cause trouble. I haven't been here long but have seen 3 threads on what amp to buy for LSi9s all one after another. It is frustrating when a member puts their knowledge to use and answers a question, just to have the exact same question be asked the next day. Then when the person doesn't take the advice, buys something else, and then complains that it sound like crap.

As for fitting in, I have nearly 2k posts and never felt like I fit in, so don't sweat it. Like Face says, Why so Serious? Its just a internet forum, nothing more.

Hello we are not in High School anymore.........audio forums are not the personals where we meet friends....if that occurs fantastic...I have been posting 15 plus yrs on other forums and have made some great friends cross the country who I see a few times a year socially...its a POLK audio forum nothing more or less....every think that maybe the problem is not with the forum? seems from your post that you have this problem on most EVERY forum....
Ask Polk audio related questions and get some great advice from those who DO take their time to answer the same questions asked over and over(Ben you come to mind first here among many many others) ignore the BS replies and be done, or try having a better attitude..take advice from ears that have heard...take advantage of the wealth of knowledge here from those who have the upgrade bug:) and post reviews as they move up the ladder..take advantage of time tested mods posted by those who not only did the mod but also took the time to post for all to learn...give thanks when they should be....enjoy the reading and take advantage of some great used gear offered here at a great price for members.....some pretty fantastic bennies if ask me...
Hoping all have a great weekend.......

I tend to go against the grain. Look at my main rig, I would estimate that 90% of the forum members don't know what any of it is, with the exception being the Gallos. EVS, Promitheus, RWA, who are these companies?
