I-sonic DVD malfunction

I own an I-sonic and have been very happy with it so far.

I experienced a problem with the DVD in the device one week ago. I tried to play a region 1 DVD and there is a malfunction. The I-sonic tries to read the DVD but after some scanning it stops and the screen reads "no disc".

I tried unplugging the unit for several minutes and it does not work. Could you help me in fixing my problem please. The main use I give to my Isonic is to watch movies in my bedroom so this malfunction is a very important inconvenience for me.

Look forward to hear from customer service.

Thanks

Carlos Mendoza

    Hello,
I'm sorry you're having a problem with the I-Sonic. You would want to package the unit up and send it to: Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name, address, a daytime telephone number, a brief description of the problem and a copy of your sales receipt.
    Regards, Ken

I do not have the sales receipt and the original package. Can I still have mi i-sonic fixed? the music cd's are read correctly. I only have trouble with the DVD. Any thoughts of what can be wrong? Thanks for your help.

That's why you should always keep the original packaging and receipt for things like this.

I don't know what your problem could be...but my DVD player is doing the same thing. Plays CD's just fine...but when I try to play a DVD, it starts loading, and then makes this weird "click-click-click" noise...and quits loading.

I'm just going to replace it...but your situation is a bit different.

    Welcome to Club Polk though.

Are you going to replace yourself the cd in your unit? I have exactly the same problem as you. Let me know how you fix it please.

    Best regards.
