    What I said yesterday is that I hoped it was not a Club Member who scored the eBay pair yesterday, because he would have $1,581 in the eBay pair with SL3000's. He would then call Polk the next day and add $300 of RDO's. He's now at $1,881 where he could have paid $850.

    Apples for apples it's a $1,030 premium over what a Club Polk member could have paid Paul yesterday when at 5:05 PM (because I personally posted post #2 at http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76705\) I wanted to MAKE SURE POLKIES KNEW what I knew; Paul wanted $850 WITH RDO's.

    The eBay auction ended 17 minutes after that and the rest is history.

    So, were you (for example) going to drive and pick them up or have a shipping company crate and ship them? Either way, it's more than $850.00. A lot more if you opted for the latter. Now, if there was someone close to Paul that could have picked them up, then they would have got a pretty good deal, but obviously that hasn't been the case.

    Now, if I was in the Baltimore area I'd have been more than happy to pay the amount in the auction (it was pick up only), so that I didn't have to drive a long distance or have them crated and shipped at great expense and risk.

    You see, it's not as black and white as you make it out to be, far too many variables.


    BTW, you wouldn't want to put RD0194-1's in the 2.3TL's as that's the wrong tweeter.

    For me Baltimore and Central Mass are about equidistant, and I did drive 900 round trip to Philly for my SDA SRS 2's, but YOU ARE RIGHT, many variables. Case closed.

    Sorry about the bad information in my post. 2.3TL's use the RDO198-1.

    The only reason I have two sets of SDA SRS 2's is that the guy who had them was only a half hour away in Milford Pa. Mass. is about an 11 hour round trip for me. If they were closer and not in the middle of winter I would seriously think about it. Seems like a heck of a deal.
