Any other Boston Acoustics fans here?

I never thought much of BA before a Polkie selling a bunch of gear near me (JerryMB) told me I should buy his CR77 instead of the Inifinty Primus 150 he was selling (both $50/pair). I'm definitely not in search of the holy grail, but my Boston's reminded me a lot of the LSis I'd considered - laid back, detailed, uncolored. Now I have a whole Boston Acoustics 5.1 set up and I really love it.
I had an RTi setup and I know it had more OOMPH so to speak, but I keep coming back to the detail and clarity of the BA line. Polk Audio got me into my ears, but Boston has me happy now. Any other owners here?

Nice, how do you like the Boston sub, I have 2 of the 12 in subs HPS12HO. -
I have a HPS 10SE and it rocks my world. I used a Polk PSW10 and a PSW303 in the past and I'd say the 303 comes close but can't quite touch the Boston. In all fairness, it has a 150W RMS amp and a 10" woofer, though. Ridiculous levels of bass on tap. Two of the 12" model must be awesome. I considered the 12 but my dealer had the 10" on sale and I'm always frugal (plus I live in an apartment) so I'm more than happy.
I can't believe the quality and value offered by BA these days (also Polk). Glad to see someone else on the bandwagon. Have you considered some fashionable grilles for your sub?Currently listening to:
Marantz SR5004
Sony BDP-S370
Apple TV V2
Audio Technica AT-LP120
Mirage CMD-5 x 5
Bic H-100 -
No. I stopped being a fan when they stopped making great loudspeakers.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

It is great, they are very fast, accurate and musical, whats crazy is that I am about to sell both of them. I like them alot but I want to move up a little bit. May I ask how much did you get your 10 inch for. Check them out on the showcase. -
$140 new. I'm happy, don't tell me I paid too much.
EDIT: What are you hoping to get? You can see I'm downmarket these days, but I still love to hear what the better half is listening to.Currently listening to:

Not at all being that it retails for more than twice that. -
Electronics-Expo in NJ for anyone else looking for a solid sub for cheap. It sounds much more powerful and controlled to me than the 10" Dayton I had been using for around the same cash.Currently listening to:

I've never really done much listening on their bigger speakers, but I can say their computer speakers definitely kick ****. The ones I have for my computer each have two 3" mid/woofers and a 3/4 inch tweeter, and theres a 50 watt 6.5 inch sub down by my feet. I love em. It was a huge upgrade from the speakers that came with my computer. I'd rather be listening to my HT system, but my computers in a different room...So the BA's I've got fill the bill very nicely. The nirvana inducer-
APC H10 Power Conditioner
Marantz UD5005 universal player
Parasound Halo P5 preamp
Parasound HCA-1200II power amp
PolkAudio LSi9's/PolkAudio SDA 2A's/PolkAudio Monitor 7A's
Audioquest Speaker Cables and IC's -
I have one of their center channels & sub.
The CC does just fine, but their sub will never be anything to write home about. For music it does fine, but it will never shake the apt.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
There's a $7.99 pair of Boston A-70's that need foam over at my local Goodwill. An 8" two-way from way back.
