LSiFX a good surround speaker?
Hello fellow Polks,
I have a 20x14.8x9 HT/2 channel dedicated room. The HT feature is 7.1 prewired and I wanted to get your opinion about the LSiFX as a dipole and bipole surround speaker? Are they good at producing HT surround and SACD sound?
I will be running the whole LSi line with the Emotiva XPA-5 and XPA-2 amps.
Thanks for your opinions!
Kirk

HT surround yes
Heavy SACD ..... you might consider LSi7's as your surrounds. I believe that SACD is still only 5.1?DKG999

They are fantastic for both. I owned them and loved them. I also had the Lsi9's which I used a few times for rears and I still liked the Lsi/fx. For music and movies when properly calibrated and positioned, they rock. I really enjoyed owning the Lsi series. If I had 2 I would own them again.

Thanks for your response. For the LSi7 would you place them as a center rear or side surround rear with a 7.1 setup? Would they be used as bipole for the center rear surrounds?

Hi Dan
Thanks for respnse. Did you use them for a 7.1 setup? Dipole for side surround and bipole for the
Center surround? -
excuse the sarcasm.
UUHHAA Yea. They are very good speakers that work very well, they are part of Polks higher end speakers and nothing less (in Polks eyes) would do.
I say get them if that is what you are looking at.

LSiFX is great for the surround back speaks. I am very happy with them, still.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Here's another vote for the F/X. I have LSI 15 fronts with a LSI C. All run from an Emotive LPA-1. Best set up I've ever had.
