I've been away from here for a couple days. I just wanted to let anyone know that has a DVD deal from me.. that it's going to be a while before I can mail them out.
I was admitted to the hospital on New Years eve, two hours before midnight.
My fever was 104.8 and I was having severe back pain that was a stabbing kind of pain that would reach 9 to 10 on the pain scale, with 10 being the most intense pain of all.
The ER did every kind of test, MRI, CT scan, X-rays, spinal tap, lots and lots of blood withdrawls... and have come up with the diagnosis that I have a staph infection. The bacteria in my blood is what's causing the high fevers and very painful back pain. My blood pressure was also extremely high 172/110 if I read it right.
I am on three different IV anti-biotics, as well as a low sodium diet. I will probably have to spend a few more days in the hospital before I can go home. Followed by a couple weeks off from work and continue taking oral meds for a couple weeks too.
I finally have internet at the hospital... so now I will be able to receive PM's again.
I'm not over this yet.. it's going to be a slow process to full recovery.
What a way to ring in the new year huh?

Get well soon it looks like your in good hands.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
It's good to hear that you sought the advice of an MD. Sorry for your hospitalization, but it's good to hear that you're diagnosed and receiving treatment. Get better soon Al.Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Al,
Hang in there and get well soon. Not a great way to ring in the New Year.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it.
