Anyone know what wires these are?

I picked up about 25'-30' of these speaker wires for nothing. I have no idea what brand it might be or anything about it. It appears to have a grey wire and a siver wire braided together with a clear cable. I was wondering if anyone might have some info or an opinion.

Here are some pics:

From the pictures, I am pretty sure that the conductor used in the wire is not silver or some fancy stuff. It looks like normal copper (may be Oxygen Free or Ultra Pure Copper at large). I guess someone braided it because it looks fancy and may be the person think it can reduce crosstalk (interference) for speaker cable. :D

The grey color insulation and the silver color insulation doesn't do any justice unless there is anything printed on these. Usually, the good stuff has the Company Name printed on the wires and the type. So, these may be just ordinary speaker wire from the old manufacturer that was lying around for a while. Since you paid next to nothing, I am sure it'll work fine for speaker wire.

It could well be coat hangers just twisted together to use as a speaker wire to proof the wire is a wire. (this part is a joke).

    IXOS Gamma Geometry. (XHS606)

Can't tell the gauge. See link below. I built a set with 'nanners. The web picture isn't exact, but I can tell you it's the same as I ordered some awhile ago.

Decent wire.........especially for the $$$. No shame there. Much better than Monster and your avg. zip cord.

P.s. The silver refers to the jacket color not the wire. The wire is pure oxygen free copper strands.

In BrettT1's, Its Gray, Silver and the third is clear with no conductor-like a filler only.
In the IXOS pics there are two gray/silver wires and a white (or is that actually Silver and gray?). No clear.
    Just an observation.

Like I stated in my post the pic is incorrect. The IXOS do have a "clear" filler piece in the center of the twist.

The OP's pic's are exactly like the IXOS I purchased form accessories4less. The stock pic is more an illustration rather than an actual pic.

    His wires ARE IXOS. :)

I blame the economy............one day I'll graduate to a double wide and then hopefully a 2 bedroom 1 bath house :p:D:).

Seriously, they are nice cables. I had M* before I switched to the IXOS and they sounded really good until the Canare. They gave the Canare Star Quad a good run and now I have MIT's. Put them in your system and enjoy them..............the price was right ;)
