Best LCD cleaner?

I want to get a good LCD cleaner for my Sony LCD tv, but wanted to look at alternatives over the Monster kit that has very little solution for over $20.....
What do y'all use? Are there varying degrees of microfiber cloths (smooth, rough, etc)?
Lemme know some to check out......the last thing I'd ever be doing to this is Windex or anything of the sort (though that was fine for my 40" glass tube Mitsubishi over the years).......thanks.....

For quite some time I've used a 50/50 soulution of distilled water and white vinegar on a microfiber cloth. I use it for my laptop screens and LCD TVs. Works great and cheap too. This came from PC magazine or someone similar IIRC."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

I use and recommend it.
Have a $4000 MacBook Pro with flawless screen along with using it on our Sony SXRD television with no issues whatsoever. -
Stay away from Phillips, I got terrible results from their Pre-packaged wipes, Dryed up smears that were a pain in the butt to come off. I know you dont get much for your money with Monster, but I'll pay for it anyday.Receiver: Pioneer Elite SC-05

I actually like the Monstercable scren clean better then any other product I have used. Whoever makes it did it right. For 30 bucks you get the towel and it will last you years.
I think thats a fair price for how long it's going to last.

What pads would you recommend to use with that cleaning solution?

I never needed more than plain water on a very soft cloth. How dirty are you getting your screens?
-
is there something wrong with regular cleaning solution like windex (or just water like william said)? I've always used that on my laptop screen on a microfiber cloth and I've never noticed any problems- still smooth and shiny. Never tried it on my tv though- is there some reason you're not supposed to use that stuff?

I use the generic "Member's Mark" eye glass cleaner solution at Sam's club and use a microfiber towel. Works better than that overpriced Monster solution.

I would NEVER use glass cleaner on an LCD screen (unless the screen is glass)
Windex has ammonia which I don't believe is friendly to non glass screens and can cause major problems with long term use.
YMMV but that is my experience and what I have found during research.
Windex on glass, specialized TV/LCD/monitor screen cleaner on non glass screens. -
One of those green scotch-brite pads and some 409 will clean it up right

Stoner's product. "Invisible Glass". 'Nuff said.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I use a Swiffer to remove dust followed by a microfiber cloth moistened with water. If there was a spot that needed more attention, I would use my home-made eyeglasses solution, which is a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid in 8 or so oz. of water. That's how I refill my Sam's Club bottle, and it's worked great for years on a variety of A/R coated lenses. It's important to remove loose dust first. For eyeglasses, I rinse with water, then spray some solution, dry, rinse with water again, and dry with a different cloth.

I use Audioquest CleanScreen. Very simnilar looking to the Monster stuff - blue gel; comes with the cloth - but it was only about $22 local, in-store IIRC.
