Hi I am looking to get the new RTi a1's and i am thinking of getting rid of my RTi28's I know the new A3's will make more bass than the A1 but like with my older Rti 28's i always found that the smaller driver made the speaker sound better bieng it's like the drivers used in the Top of the line models.....
So what i am asking is do you think it's a upgrade and worth getting the new A1's.

THANKS

You might also consider a used set of RTi38's if you like the sound of your RTi28's. You could also find a set of used LSi7's which would be a nice step up for 2 ch, as long as you have some decent gear to drive them.

The new A series is more refined sounding then the older I series. This is what I have found when listening to them side by side. Not to mention the cabinet is much better looking.

I say if you like them better then go for it. I do however agree with the Lsi7 comment. The Lsi series is even better for music then the new A series.

Hi thanks for the input ...I do love the new look of the RTi A1's ...that's what atracted me to them.... But i am weary of how they would compair to my RTi28's
More refined sounding what exactly do you mean by this are theA series smoother sounding ,,, bright sounding flatter sounding?

    Thanks

What i mean is they sound more detailed and smooth. They are not as bright as older models. The new polk rtia series is the best they ever been. Not just the new cabinet but the sound quality is very very good. Closer to the Lsi's then the older models. I found them to be very pleasing and something I could sit and listen for hours. The older models where good but they tend to get a little bright for me.
