I bought this October 18th. So its only a couple months old. I bought it from Amazon which is a authorized HK dealer. I don't know if the warranty is transferable or not. I can check and see if some one is interested.

I would rate it a 9/10 or maybe a 9.5/10. Its perfect. I have the original box, manual, remote and all the paper work.

I would like to get $250.00 shipped for it anywhere in the lower 48 states. Anywhere else will be extra.

I'll except Mo's and Paypal. I'll accept personnel checks from long time members or members with great feedback. Check will still have to clear though before shipping.

Please. No dibs.

Either you want it or don't.

If your interested and need some pics. Let me know and I'll take some.

Here's a link to HK's website

I use a 3390 in my 2.1 HT and it does a fantastic job. This is a good deal for someone trying to tinker in 2-channel, 120 wpc @ 8, 150 wpc @ 4 0hm, and high current. Those are real watts, both channels 20-20k, not rated at 1k only. H/K has a nice warm sound when compared to almost everything, except Denon or NAD.

Might be interested in this for my cousin. I'll check with him and get back ASAP.
Why, may I ask, are you selling it?

Actually, I very much prefer h/k to Denon, personally (JMO). Even many good separates will have trouble competing with this unit. Worth every penny!

Pssst! Don't tell Cathy I wrote that: she'll never forgive me!

I feel the same way about it. I've had a couple of setups consisting of separates that didn't sound as good as this does. It really is a remarkable peice IMO.

I forgot to mention: I checked on this myself, since I will be selling my h/k AVR147 at some point in the future also. The response I got from h/k was this:

    - We will honor the warranty for the remainder of the 2 year warranty term.
    - Provide the new owner with a copy of your original bill of sale.
    - The bill of sale just needs to have the date of purchase, retailers name and model #.

Hope that helps clear things up.

FYI - I i'll be putting this on ebay pretty soon if anybody cares.

I would rather see a polkie get it before anyone else. But. In the end, it needs to be sold. And I need to sell it to fund my new receiver purchase.

Just a little heads up in case somebody's been eying it.

 Holy crap! What did they do to that poor box! I would bet my life (useless as it is) that Nikolas did not ship that box in that condition ! He's going to be PO when he see's that.

I hope it works though, suprafantx.

Why in God's name would you send the box without covering up the photo's on it? I mean how hard would it have been to wrap it in newspapers them write fragile on it. One should assume that these bored mail guys see something like that and purposely mess with it. My gut instinct is telling me the box looked pretty bad before shipping. At least I hope so, cuz that's messed up if it wasn't. Glad I didn't receive something looking like that...

Even more glad it arrived in good condition and all's right with the world

    Keep on polkin' guys

The box was absolutely perfect when it left here. No way did i ship a box like that.. The receiver is only two months old and so is the box. It was Pristine!

I don't know what the deal is here. Seems like and anomaly though. I have shipped a hundred different things with USPS and this is the first I have seen of damage like this....

    Glad it arrived OK....

FB, that's actually pretty standard. I have recently received quite a few items in a clearly marked box like that: scanner, printer, subwoofer, laptop ... That box was obviously severly abused at some point, probably got wet and then was mishandled. Fortunately the packaging did its job and protected the gear, but if it ever needs repair or warranty work (unlikely IMO), or even another sale ... that box might need some special attention before shipping!

If you had any remote knowledge of Nikolas, you would know that he would never send a damaged box like that without mentioning it first. After all, this is the guy that paid $90 to get new boxes shipped from Polk headquarters because he wanted to sell his LSi9 and didn't want to use just any old box. I have never received a box in that condition, but sometimes it happens, and USPS is no worse than UPS, FedEx or DHL (R.I.P.) IMHO.

Sorry for the rant, but it just makes me mad to know that this can happen during shipping of our beloved gear, like a few things have been doing lately ...
