Audio problem with Surroundbar 360

Just picked one up yesterday and I am having a hard time making it work with my Charter cable Moxi hi-def DVR box. I used the included optical cable to connect the audio from the Moxi to the SurroundBar (b/c of no HDMI in on SB). At first, I got no signal. COnfirmed that all Moxi settings are correct. FInally tried a different source (TV has an optical out) and got sound. If I then immediatly transfer the cable to my Moxi, I get sound from it. It then works fine until I turn the unit off (from remote control - not rear control). I have to move the cables again to get sound.
Any help would be appreciated.

The SB360 has an HDMI connection. You may have to assign the audio input on the SB360. Check the manual.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Just an HDMI out for the dvd player. Problem seems to be with the SB360 recognizing the optical signal from the MOXI. Once it gets cued in by the signal from the TV, it then sees the signal when I switch the cable to the MOXI box. Obviously, I can't do this cable switch everytime I turn on the 360 Just trying to figure out if his is a SB360 problem or a MOXI problem, or if there is a reasonable workaround.

You're correct. I keep forgetting it's also a DVDP.
I don't quite understand what you're saying but ensure you have assigned the inputs correctly, in the SB360 Menu. It also states in the manual that if you're having optical problems, to switch to analog connections. That's just basic troubleshooting.
When I demo'd the 360 I used 3 different sources with no issues in regards to audio.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
After playing with it somemore, it seems the problem is intermitent. Works fine on SD channels but struggles (sound goes in and out) with HD channels. Maybe a Dolby decoding issue?
If I go analog, I can't use get the 5.1 effects, correct? In other words, everything analog is two channel? If that's the case, this system is worthless and I'm taking it back. If it will still give me the "surround" effects on analog, then that's another story. Sorry, I'm a novice on this stuff.
Will call service on MOnday to see what they say.
Thanks again for the input. -
maybe your optical cable is bad.. or is not seated right in the back of the unit.
Can you get your hands on an HDMI cable?
Sorry I can't be of more help.. as I'm not very familiar with the SB360. but trust me, it's an incredible unit once you get it all set up.
call customer service. I bet they can help you out on Monday. Don't give up.. you'll not be able to find a better sounding SurroundBar out there.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
