    I never stopped .

Well, the best of luck to you. May you drink the night away...every single night that is...lol

Personally my new years resolution is gonna be to quit smoking cigarettes...I'm really getting tired of them. The only reason I even still smoke them is because I'm addicted to the stupid things. Wish me luck!

I quit smoking Camels and Camel Light Wides, cold-turkey, after 21 years. It's the only way to do it right. After a week the physical effects start to cease and after a month or so the mental effects go away. Very rarely, after eating or IF I have the occasional beer, I'll crave a smoke. That'a one of the reasons I won't drink beer anymore. When I start drinking again, it's top-shelf for me baby. Bourbon, Rum, and Tequila.

I've quit before a couple different times...just never been able to stick with it for more than a few months. Like you said...it's hardest when you start drinking beer, or after meals. This time I'm gonna do it though dammit...I'm tired of smoking. It's not like it does anything for you whatsoever...it's pretty pointless really.

I'd like to lose 5-10 lbs and get back in shape. I'd also like to slow down on the audio spending and finally do my kitchen over.

Being on the low side of diabetic, I plan to start eating like I'm diabetic, start exercising again, and lose weight. I want my blood sugar back to where the doc says you need to think about having too low blood sugar.

I want to be around for a long time to make all of you miserable.

Oh yeah...I've been watching a lot of the financial speculators lately. From the sounds of it, next year is gonna be the year to buy a house if you're in a situation to. There's also a government issued 7500 dollar tax credit that first time home buyers can qualify for right now. It's essentially an interest free loan that get's payed back over 15 years, and you're given a 2 year period before you have to start paying on it as well.

Here's some info on it if anyone else is interested in checking it out.

I'm gonna start training again. I have put off my training and this year I'm going full force. So losing weight and getting in shape will be a byproduct.
I plan on eating better this year. Watching what and why I eat things.
New Preamp with HDMI switching and HD processing audio. Now that more and more are hitting the market, it will make it easier to select the correct one.
Become ISF and THX certified. My goals of this year. I have a lot of Certifications in my field but these are 2 that I do not have. With THX I plan on furthering my knowledge of room acoustics. I trained with John Dohl of THX years ago and plan on going further.
Finally after all these years and allowing everything else to put importance in front, I want to finish the basment. Theater , Office , Playroom , Laundry room, Bathroom and a Theater bar. Gear room with software storage. I plan on my gear not being in the wall as planned years ago, now I plan on a Mid Atlantic rack in the gear room.

Lots to do this coming year, I wish all of you a good one.

    To stop renting.
This is on my list as well.....I have a brother that's a real estate agent in CA that recommended me waiting until late next year as well for the continuing dropping rates........we'll see......I'll probably start just looking to see what I do/do not like that's out there....only problem is once I start looking at things......well.....that's how I ended up with a 52" LCD in my bedroom....lol
I'm on my third day without Diet Coke.....160-200 oz. per day habit. I never have smoked or drank much, so it is really my only vice and I'm sure that much aspartame can't be a good thing for my advancing age.:D
I stopped drinking it the beginning of November. I would do 2-3 64oz cups of that stuff a day........ In the last week I have had a can here/there and also one 64oz, and I really didn't like the taste.....at least, not how I remember it......I've been carrying around a 32oz water bottle that I fill up with ice and water probably 4 times or so per day.......though I haven't lost a single pound from not drinking it.......lame...lol
