Whats up all???
I did 3 home theaters for a guy Last Friday and man this dude took the cake.

Basement was a full reference S series Paradigm S8's front center and S6 floor for the rears with a Killer Sub 25 sub. Damn it's heavy.

In the family room he did the same exact system. Killer .

But the real kicker was the Breakfast area. Pioneer Elite 50 Kuro with Inceiling Reference Paraigm speakers , On wall matching center and in wall sub. How killer is it to get up, sit down , eat a bowl and watch 5.1??? I was blown away.

All systems had Pioneer Elite 60 inch Kuros with Denon avr5308 receivers running them. Customer wanted the Denons over the B&K for features and abilities. All also have a Pioneer Elite bdp05 Blu ray and a Escient cd / DVD music server. All HD cableboxes from Comcast. Really nice systems but the breakfast room is just off the charts.

Anyone else have 5.1 in there breakfast room? I'll be going out there again soon to tweak so I will get some pics

    Dan,
This is a line of work I have always wanted to get into. Maybe part time.
Can you give me some websites or ideas on how to get into this line of work?
You have a killer job IMHO! Take care.

You should start here www.cedia.com. Read everything you can about them. Find a dealer in your area and see if they are looking for entry level people. You have to get your start somewhere and a cedia dealer is the best place to do so. It's a exciting and fantastic career. I love what I do no matter who I'm doing it for. I'm currently working for a mid to high end 2 channel home theater and multiroom custom dealer. It's a 50 year old business that started in 2 channel and has strong roots in it. Everyone around me at work is into Audio then video. In that breath I'm home.

Good luck and if you are serious I can help you get your start with Tools and what you will need to learn. There is so much more then what a hobby guys knows and does.

    Thanks Ben ,
I have worked very hard to get where I am today and with the fall of Tweeter, I landed on my feet. I was out of work for a month and that really hurt. Unemployment sucks bad as they top out if you make more. But I was Fortunate enough to keep in touch with all the dealers around me and the one who wanted me hired me right away. He is a very good guy and I have known him for years. I have tons of respect for him, not just because he hired me but he is into audio and carries very good stuff, he spent his time with me years ago and I was not interested in a job, just to check out his cool gear.

I want 5.1 in my bathroom. That way, when I'm sitting on the throne, I don't have to pause the movie. This would be with a distributed video/sound system, of course. Also, the subwoofer will help to both drown out the unpleasant bathroom noises and knock loose those stubborn ones after a night of extra-cheese pizza.
    Ludicrous gibs!

LMAO That would be awesome. I forget what show it was...one of the ones where they come in and remodel your house. One of the things they did though was put a TV in someones bathroom. The person had a big mirror over their sink...it was probably about 6 feet or so across. What they did was cut an opening behind part of it and they put the TV in behind the mirror. It was pretty cool, when it was off you couldn't even see it.

Thats whats killer about the system we build for this guy. All the systems share all the sources. You can watch anywhere or many people can watch in different rooms. It's a well thought out system.

Now 5.1 on the throne...... Priceless.

depending on space you should have recommended a PJ setup in the basement. Nothing like front PJ setup. Nice work though.

I find it a little sad the customer did the same system in two areas. Where is his sense of adventure? And where is his two channel tube setup??
