Gotta go with Roland @ hitech he is the MAN. You will have a wait but it is so worth it.
-
When I had a C19 Roland did some work to it and did a great job. He also did some upgrading to my current amp Sunfire Sig II. I will say it was a big difference between in the mid and high end when he was done. He does great work!

I have one of the Carver CD players. Is Hitech the place to send it? The problem with it last time I tried to use it was it would not open the tray. It's a button issue bc the tray will open just not with the button.HT/2Channel: Emotiva MMC-1, Adcom GFA-555II, Polk SDA 3.1's, Teac TN-300 TT, Polk Center and Sub.
Bedroom system: Carver CT-24, Parasound HCA-800II, Monitor 10's
Additional projects: RTA 12c's -
Isn't Carver almost 70 years of age? Doesn't anyone in the Audio world EVER "retire"?

I thought that was a known issue for the carver cd players. You sure its not the belt that opens up the tray? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FngAg3mk2Ug
Here is a utube video how to help a cd player tray.
BTW do you have one of the tube carver cd players? -
I forgot, the people on both carver's sites could also help http://thecarversite.com/

I will be hand carrying my Sunfire Cinema Grand to Hitech on my trip to visit family in Portland this September.
Rear channels took a crap and the lamp gave up the ghost.
Until then, we were a rocking with it.
Thanks for the tip about Hitech.
I have emailed and set up a meet.
