    Here is my advise,

Become a Installer. Find a job in the field. You will come entry level and learn. There is so much to learn man. You gotta start somewhere. Just jumping and and being a owner of a audio video company, you will be open wide for failure.

Check out Cedia. You'll learn a lot there.

I don't think you need the stress of running your own business right now. Insurance is a pain too.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I could be your first customer. I want a top of the line system, audiophile quality, MP3 source only, little speakers like them bose ones, wireless remote that will control my dog fence as well as the microwave, and wireless AC power cables. :)

I don't agree with that. I have been in the business for 9 years and I love it more and more each and every day. Being around cool gear all the time and doing what you love for a living is incredible.

Problem is you always want something as your around it everyday. You get to see all the new cool gear all the time. You learn from THEM instead of having to research it yourself. It's awesome man.

Not one day have i ever hated my job or audio video. I tried to get away from it for awhile but I got home sick

You're an installer, Dan. You're not in sales. Big difference!

You would make mo money as a pimp ;)

When they closed the fab I had worked 14 years at, I went and actually started a PC business...did that for 2 years then went back to wearing a bunny suit :D

If I had wanted to work 24/7 I could have...the demand to JUST fix software problems is huge around here....building custom PC's was just icing on the cake. Funny thing is , my buddy started the SAME type business up in Manteca ( 100 miles north of here ) ....and the phone never rang ...so go figure .
