Pinup Queen Betty Page is no longer with us. Not that I grew up with her on my wall or anything but she was one of the most famous pinup girls, if not the most famous pin-up girl in history. Apparently she died as a result of a heart attack. She was 85.

RIP Betty.

    RIP

Funny but I think in today’s standards she would be considered a bit heavy.

I prefer my women to have more of a look like her then the skinny look of today. Curves man curves. She could use a update on the Hair style. But back then that was in.

    RIP.

For those not familiar with why she was such a sensation, and well known.

Part of it was the time period. It was a much bigger deal then to pose for pictures like this. She was a trail blazer.

If you had walked around mainstreet USA in that time period, a great majority would gasp in disgust and/or horror at such a scandalous display. You might even get arrested in backwatersville for public display of obscene materials.

For a comparison - Imagine the reaction you would get walking around today with a portable 10" DVD player busting out scat **** (clean link) to strangers on the street in the middle of Moral Town, USA.

The dabbling in fetish material is what really pushed her over the top ...

My father used to have a poster of her.

I wanted to get a tattoo of her at one point but thought I'd regret it.
