After moving my beloved InnerSound Eros and associated components I combined what I had left and what I was allowed to borrow from my brother as well as a felow Pokie to make the best of a bad situation.
I am very thankful and appreciative to those that are helping me out (that includes anyone and everyone who is pulling for me right now )
So here's what I've got now: LINK
The Von Schweikert VR-2's are on loan from my brother (I forgot how good these speakers sound!)
They are driven by the Sanders Sound System ESL amp running through the Multi Room input on the HK. I use the SB3 (inhereted / on loan) with a CIAUDIO PS as the source for the 2 channel.
I consolidated two racks into one so I now have more room to maneuver around plus the VR-2's fit nicely next to the rack.
The SVS used to be behind the TV & now it's on the opposite wall / corner. Still playing w/ the config on the SVS.
The result is a much cleaner and open room with better than expexted sound quality. The VR-2's dig deep but not as deep as the Eros. (I did A / B them when I still had the Eros). They aren't as holographic as the Eros but they do very well for a convential speaker. Maybe its due to that driver on the rear of the VR-2's.
Just wanted to let everybody know what's new with me and to again thank everyone for their support.

I liked the VR-2's better than the LSi15's when we did that shoot out at Mike's last year. Great speakers. I bet they sound good with that set up._________________________________________________

Nice clean setup Victor! What do you think about the Bolder Statement SB3? Norm and I felt the most amusing ModWright Sony 9100 was leaps and bounds better, but you aint slumming with the modded SB3. Thanks Rich & will do
I like the SB3 very much. The sound quality is surprisingly good - I don't think it has all the detail, resolution, and fullness that the 9100 has but, like both of you pointed out, the convenience is off the charts.
This rig is on a different wall than the Eros rig, and the only component they have in common is the Sanders amp. Also there are no tubes in this rig where as I a tube pre & a tube CDP w/ tube rectified PS w/ the Eros. I suppose this can be seen as "a step back" from what I had but truth be told I hadn't listened to the Eros much since April so I'm kind of starting off "fresh".
Since the SB3 has all my music @ my fingertips I am listening to a lot more music since this rig got set up. Granted I'd ripped my library to an external HD (WAV format), about a year ago when I tried a stock SB3 & it is a major PITA to do that so you can enjoy the simplicity later. There are a few quirks w/ the SB3 but it's nothing I can't live with. There is no comparison between a stock unit w/ the stock PS and the Boulder Cable modified unit w/ CIAUDIO PS.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

I'm greatly relieved to see you've got a rig up and running. I guess I should have known you wouldn't be without.Political Correctness'.........defined

The SB3 is addictive and my return is due in large part to it.

Hey everybody. 2009 was fine but 2010 is off to a rocky start thanks to you know who.
The TV bit the dust, sort of. It's not functioning properly anymore.
The SB3 is all fouled up as well.
would appreciate your thoughts & prayers here.

Have you updated the firmware on the SB?"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Thoughts and prayers sent.
Did the SB3 mess up *after* you dl'd the new firmware? I just did that and had to go in and reconfigure all the settings. The web interface is sightly different as well and takes some getting used to and you need to rescan your library. The SB forums are really helpful, but it's still a slight PITA to reconfigure your settings.
Good luck Victor

Thanks Brock.
IMO, the SB3 is like a temperamental child. Always acting up.
It is back on line after a reboot of the PC but the settings are all wonky. Most albums don't play in order any more and I don't have random or shuffle engaged - the song list on most albums plays alphabetically now instead of in the order they were in on the CD - I changed nothing so I can't wrap my head around how it happened. No idea how to get it back because it isn't consistent with all the albums. 90% sure they were all ripped the same way but that was a long time ago. lol.
Hope your doing well too buddy! Thanks againAudio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

Well, like I said if you downloaded the new software version then that's most likely your issue. A suggestion for next time is to write down all your previous settings before downloading so you can set the new version up with the same custom settings.
The thing with the new software upgrade is, it's completely new as in it unistalls the old version and then installs a completely new version. It's not just an update of the old version. I have a SB2 and have had zero issues with it (other than my boneheaded tagging errors) until I downloaded the new Squeeze Center software and realized I had to go back and customize it. One thing that must be done is deleting your library from the Squeeze Center database and then re-scanning. I like the new interface but it's a little different and you really have to start over with all your settings.
**NOTE** do not choose to delete completely because you'll loose all your music as it deletes it from the hard drive. If that happens you can always do a system restore to an earlier day in the week.
