Your version of 'note expensive' on a 5-6 cord is a cord that sells for $185-$200+?

The cord looks like a tank, but I'm not wanting to spend anything remotely near those prices.......

Look for a Volex 17604, should be less than $10. It is a shielded 14ga power cord.

HCM Audio has some nice cords for 40 bucks on the Audiogon.

What's the typical gauge for your run of the mill computer power cord? I looked quickly at one site for the 17604 and it was $16 and change.
