center speaker dilema

Hi everyone, just a quick question I would like some advice on. Currently I have 2 Monitor 40's, 2 Monitor 30's, a CS1 and Bic Acoustech H-100 sub powered by a HK 147. Plan on keeping the Monitors for awhile but just wondering if I bought a better center if I would notice a difference. I know the CS1 matches the monitors very well but was thinking of possibly a CSI3. Could probably get a new one fairly cheap, maybe $150.00. So I'm just wondering if it would be worth it, would there be a noticeable difference? Thanks.

Should also add that a CS2 is too big for my space.

That system should sound pretty good IMO already, at least for Home Theater. The CSi3 is a good center, but not as well matched to your speakers, so, in theory at least, not as good an option. I'm not convinced that you'll notice a big upgrade with it. If something does not seem right, I would run EzSet/EQ again, and check the settings (speakers set to SMALL, not LARGE; crossover at 60Hz or 80Hz; check distances etc.).

Otherwise, you're probably condemned to upgrading all your speakers, if you want to do things right, not just your center!
    Alea jacta est!

So I'm waiting and waiting but only one reply. My system sounds ok but from what I gather the center speaker is the most important part of a system. I want to buy a Blu ray player soon so this is why I'm asking. I don't want to upgrade anything else but would be willing to upgrade my center if any of you think it would make a difference. I know the CSI3 is not a perfect match, just wondering if it would be worth the cost, Thanks.

If you were going to upgrade in the near future to the rti series then yes get the csi3.if not thengo with the cs2. Don't think it's going to make a huge difference.

Wanted the CS2 but is too big for my space thats why I was asking about the csi3, don't plan on upgrading for awhile but would love to get the rti series. Only option for now is whether the csi 3 would make a noticeable difference as compared to the cs1. thanks for the replies.

I would just stick with the cs1 then.

Sorry to hijack, but my scenario is very similar. Except in my case I have the RM6700 satellite 5 speaker set with 6750 sats and a 6752 center. At the time I put these in, I had to set the speaker on top of a 30" TV, but I recently bought a bigger TV and a stand and have room for a nicer center speaker.

Would the benefits of adding a larger center speaker, such as a CS1 or CS10 outweigh the non-matching tone issue when crossing speaker lines? I'd really like to have a center that can play below 120hz, but upgrading all 5 speakers is not possible at this time since they are on the wall in my living room. TIA.
