I got to Install one finally . I set one up in our store which was really nice but I didn't get to go very deep with it. I had a job with a Videophile and he has gone threw 3 projectors and this one was high on his list due to what he read.

I replaced a Sony VP series 50 with the Pioneer. Draper screen at 100 inch. Dedicated theater with NAD gear , Def Tech speakers(we use them a lot) Super cube and all. Pioneer Elite and Ps3 Blu ray player. Which was cool as I got to do a head on vs with Blu ray on a Projector. I'll get to that in a minute.

Guys I just gotta say the Pioneer Elite Projector is simply amazing. It pops out at you and fools you to believe reality is in front of you instead of a projected image. Now this customer is trying to judge the image by changing Disc's back and forth with the Sony ps3 and the Pioneer Elite. So since I'm here with that, I saw a difference in color control and depth of field. The Ps3 came up alittle short in both fields vs the Pioneer. You can't see this on smaller screen even at a 60 inch. I did this every test on a 60 Elite and It was really hard to tell any differences in picture quality in Blu ray players. Now on the Projector, I could see some differences. If you didn't have the Elite player, the Ps3 is killer. The elite player brings it to another level not to mention it makes a great cd player. It's slow as hell compared and that I hate. I have the Ps3 and even this didn't make me want it. It is truely a better picture.

So back to the Projector. We sat in that room for 2 hours watching clips of Batman and a bunch of other movies. Batman looked so damn good. Scene 3 where Bruce was going to train on top of the mountain with the blue flower was simply breath taking on this gun.

I have found my personal Projector. I really liked the Yamaha and Sony projectors. This elite is just ahead of the game. it's like there plasmas just a step ahead of everyone else. I want one.

O by the way NAD and Def tech sound pretty good together. NAD has a nice blend of dynamic range and smooth tone. I like it. I'm also starting to like Def Tech. When you power them correctly , set them up correctly , you can achieve a very high end level of sound for theater. I'm not crazy for them with music but theater they are fantastic. I'll report on them more after a few more systems. I only did a few with Def tech so far and so far I'm liking it.
