I don't gamble. That's a good thing if you live in this town but the one thing I do love about living here is 24 hours a day of something to do. It's funny but all entertainers come here sooner or later. I watched the Heart video and thought, "I wonder if they are on tour " and"will they be in town this year"? I logged on to their web site and they are here in 3 weeks. Tiny venue and I got great seats. What's not so funny is I paid $103 for the ticket. I have 1978 ticket in a frame with dozens of other old concert tickets that are part of the audio motif that surrounds my stereo. It's Heart Live at Tarrant County Convenetion Center with a 17 peice orchestra and they were doing a nationwide radio simocast. The ticket cost $9.50.

Chris Botti Live with Orchesta and Special Guests is an amazing blu-ray concert. It is one of my favorites, even it you don't like jazz it has something most people can appreciate. It is very articulate and precise and it has some extraordinary musicians.

Add Jethro Tull Live at Montreux 2003 to the list! Have it playing now. Someone took some care with the DTS Master HD soundtrack. Best soundstaging on a multi-channel concert DVD that I have heard.

I really wish KID ROCK would put out a live DVD/BLU RAY. His shows are one of the best mixed shows of music i have ever seen, everything from blues, soul, rock, metal, rap rock, and country all rolled into one.and watching his band play live is something to see.the sax player he has in his band is fantastic.the female drummer (Stef) kicks ****.i know most people think "KID ROCK WTF" the guy puts on one hell of a show.

"Jeff Beck performing this week...live at Ronnie Scotts" is my 1st venture into BR, and have to say the SQ is good- but not polished. By that I mean, between the video, and the audio, you actually feel as though your in the nightclub, witnessing the performance live.
The other thing I noticed, was that the band didn't seem to be performing, but rather just jamming. Made me nostalic for my days ion H.S., when we'd walk around Boston, Cambridge, and see these street performers, just plug in anywhere, and start playing.
Anybody who has been to Faneuil Hall/ Govt. center on a Saturday night can relate.

Things of note: With bonus footage, it's 191 minutes long(3 HOURS), and you get 2 songs with Beck & Clapton playing together!

    As for PQ, I have a 32" lcd @ 720p, so I can't testify to that, but, I'm sure it's fine?

This gotta be the best BD concert I've seen. The sound resolution is excellent. You can easily differentiate the instruments, mid-bass is plentiful, plucking of strings, horn sections, etc. etc.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Pretty awesome. I saw that tour (With Teeth) 5 times. Once on the first leg, twice on second and third leg each. The Disc is a very good representation however I prefer the 2ch mix to the 5.1.

I have seen this on Palladia and thought it was amazing. Imogen Heap was a real treat too. I have a huge crush on that little bass player chick. Smokin. :)

That's how I feel about Dave mathewes. I can't stand his music when he has a band behind him, but when he does the acoustic stuff with tim reynolds he is one of my favorites.

Thanks for all the great suggestions - I added several to my Netflix list. A couple I have seen:
    - The Who at Isle Wright - very good. Can't believe a human can play drums like that - amazing.
    - Earth, Wind and Fire / Chicago - Musically, it was awesome - especially when both groups were on stage at the same time doing a song. Vocally, I thought Chicago would have been much better if they had a voice (like Peter Cetera) that was as good as the rest of the band.

Wife and I just watched "This is It' by Michael Jackson. Technically, it's not a full "concert" video since it is rehearsal footage. Sound of the band was amazing. But to me, his vocals sounded a bit weak. I'm not a MJ fan, but after watching the blu-ray, this would have been a spectacular concert.

At the risk of redundant posts....Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood at the Madison Sq Garden....the magic those guys pulled off left me in tears - Clapton just makes the guitar a natural extension of what he is feeling. And I never knew Winwood could jam on guitar!

Get AC/DC let there be rock Blu Ray it harkens back to the days when the boys and Bon Scott were tearing it up, Bon was the man his stage presence was well amazing. Is the video transfers good well from a show 30 some years ago its as good as one can expect it to be, the audio transfers are remastered and presented in 5.1 , but once again from 30 some years ago you cant expect to much, as far as watching the boys and Bon tear it up it is well worth watchin the real AC/DC, and not the copy band they have going with Brian Johnson screaching about. Another good one is Ladies and Gentelmen the Rolling Stones with the best guitarist they ever had Mick Taylor, on the Exile on main Street tour another old show but also back in the day when this band was peaking, both of these are highly recomended.
