Now that i am in the land of BD, I am looking for some decent sounding concerts on BD. The audio quality of this format is superb... and I want to take advantage of it.

I have ZZ Top - Live from Texas which is excellent, both PQ and SQ. I also have Roy Orbison - Black&White Night which is good, but probably not much better than the SD version. I have to agree that the BD format has awesome potential for concert DVD's.

As mentioned in another post in this section, the new Rush Snakes and Arrows BD is really amazing as well. SQ and PQ are exceptional.

The Rolling Stones, 'Shine A Light'. Directed by Scorsese. Great concert. Showcases the band in a smaller venue. Guest spot by Buddy Guy is especially good.:D

I just watched the 2005 Alice Cooper tour Blu Ray. You can probably pass that one up. It was sad. Of coarse Alice Cooper was pretty sad in 1972 also. LOL.

I bought the Chicago and EW&F DVD. Not good.
I bought the Moody Blues DVD. Fair. It would have been great if all the front men were there but they weren't. Funny, I saw the Moody Blues 6 months before this concert was filmed and the band was intact.
Diana Krall Live in Paris is an excellent video.
I've got a Heart Live in Seatle I haven't watched yet. My bet is it's a good one. They always video well.

OK. I went BluRay mid summer and bought a dozen concerts immediately. Until this moment, Diana Krall Live in Paris had it...until now.
I just watched Heart Live in Seatle. The hair is still standing up on my arms. I've seen Heart several times thru the years and I just bought orchestra seating at the Las Vegas Hilton for their Feb 7th, 2009 performance.
These two chicks haven't got a tired bone in either one of their bodies. They are as fresh as day one. The cinematography is first rate and the audio track is one of the best live show recordings I have ever heard.
If you haven't ever seen Heart in concert, know these things. There is not now or has ever been one hint that these ladies ever tried to play catch up with their male counterparts in rock and roll. These women are rock and rock and they wrote the rock performers guide book. Nancy Wilson is a classic rock performer who looks like she is having as good a time on stage as she did the first time she played on a stage. Ann wilson has one of the most dynamic voices I've ever heard and has lost nothing over the years. Truly a great audio/video experience.

Very nice write up Igo. Heart Alive in Seattle is one of my favorite DVD's too. I was actually at that concert in Seattle when it was being taped. I was sitting in the balcony. :D

I only have the DVD in SD format. I would love to pick it up on BD. Even the SD DVD's audio quality is pretty good.. plus the picture looks good too. I am so happy they decided to release Alive in Seattle on Blu Ray. I'll pick it up if I can find it.

You are right about Ann and Nancy Wilson. Truly they are in an elite group of female women who can really rock it out. They have sometimes been called the female version of Led Zeppelin. ;)

I also want to pick up the Heart - Dreamboat Annie Live DVD recorded in 2007. :)

They (Heart) often pays tribute to Led Zep in their concerts. Certainly on LIve in Seattle, they play some of their tunes. Even 30 yrs after their main success, it's clear that Ann and Nancy Wilson can still wow a crowd. How about when she sings the song Alone on the DVD, doesn't she blast that out? that's the song that makes the hair on my neck stand up... I mean she gives it her all. What a voice.
