Well, we've been looking at mounting our 52" LCD on the wall lately, and was hoping that somebody would have a good source for a mount (tiltable) that is REASONABLE.
Stopped by the local "Going out of Business" CC over the weekend, and ..... geeez Louise ....... "Clearance" for $525 ?!?
Thanks for any input, if we get the TV up on the wall, we can get the CS2 relocated and life will be good !

I have been quite happy with the one I purchased from Monoprice.

Any of the ones in the "Tilting Type" section. I think they are all basically the same except for width/color. There is one called a "premium" that is supposed to have thicker steel, but I found my normal one to be sufficient for my 85 lb plasma TV.
I specifically used #2852, but pick whichever one suits you. -
Checked out Monoprice, and they have some real nice prices ! Thanks for that heads up.Sal Palooza

I prefer the Omnimount models. U3 tilt is what I use in my master bed. It's also my mount of choice on the job. I feel very safe with these mounts as they are made very well.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Go to Costco and check out their setup. I saw one the other day that had a lock pin adjustable angle tilt bracket and it was under $100. I can't think of the brand, and I looked on their site but didn't see it.....if I was putting the 52" I just bought on the wall I would have grabbed it. It doesn't have any sort of swiveling, but you're not looking for that, right?comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

+100 on the monoprice mounts. I bought one last year. Very solid, and the price can't be beat!Sony KDL-40V2500 HDTV, Rotel RSX-1067 Receiver, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, Slim Devices Squeezebox, Polk RTi6, CSi3 & R15, DIY sub with Atlas 15

Thanks for the inputs; I should have thought of Costco, too. I wound up getting a "Planet 3" tilting (didn't need it to rotate at all) flat panel wall mount from Fry's. It came today, took it out of the box, and am real pleased with the metal construction. Doesn't look like cheap import pot metal and it is supposed to support up to 165 pounds.
Mounting hardware is good, although I'm anchoring this booger down to withstand Force 5 hurricanes.
Next on the agenda is to figure how high to mount the TV, and what angle to tilt it for the best view. I need to factor in viewing from a normal seated human being position, and viewing like a beached whale plopped out prone on the couch.Sal Palooza -

The center bottom of my plasma is mounted at eye level maybe a bit lower and works great for me that way if that helps you out any. Also I sit about 13' away from it so I really dont have any issues with it not being centered at eye level, it's basically still dead ahead for me.58" Samsung Plasma (on wall)(calibrated)
