Yep sure are. Looks to be a set with Peerless tweeter's also.

Bought em'. The seller said he had a bunch of inquires but nobody would show up to check them out. Looks like they are in good condition, however, one dead tweeter. I swapped fuses to see if that was the issue. Nope. Still dead. I'm gonna swap out the other tweeter and see if works in the other speaker.... I removed the tweeter and noticed that the leads are soldered. This will take a few more minutes to get the answer. If the tweeter is dead, anybody know where I can get a replacement or anbody got a spare Peerless you're looking to sell? Thanks for the input guys.

their loss is your big gain. congrats.. those are very nice looking Mon 10A's. Peerless and all. even with one dead tweeter. you still made out for well below going rate.

Probably not
The past owner clipped his receiver and blew the tweeter.
Look on e-bay for Peerless Tweeters or put an add in the wanted section here and maybe a fellow Polk Member has one for you.

But when I put the good tweeter in the speaker cabinet that has the problem the good tweeter no longer works.

So does the tweeter that was none functioning work in the other cabinet?

Looks like you may need to start tracing wires looking for broken solder or componets on the XO I would think.

At least verify continunity for the tweeter speakers leads. COuld be as simple as broken lead.

There was a fair looking pair of SDA 1s in your area. Guy has had them posted for about 6 weeks. I think the dust cone is pushed in on a couple drivers and the hardwood needs to be spruced up.

Sounds like the one speaker has several problems, 1 bad tweeter and something else

Is the Stereo and Dimentional drivers work with and without IC?

They look great.

At the price you got them for, I would think if you sent the x-over's to Ben and had them updated, you would still be in the positive on them. They wouldn't require Mcaps or the such, but I bet some Solens or Dayton's would work wonders. Which would probably give you better sound than stock and you would have the peace of mind of having a x-over rebuilt with all new parts (if indeed is it a x-over related issue).

The Peerless tweet's show up on ebay here and there, grab a pair if you can so you have a spare. Or just order some silk dome replacement's, which may be blasphemous, depending on who you ask.

I'm buying another tweeter from a CP member, plus it's due for new caps and resistors anyway so I'll redo those as well.

As far as your IC question, are you referring to the SDA 1C's for sale? If so, the dimensionals won't work without the IC connected.

Thanks Dave, the speakers are in really good condition and to think, several calls about them and no one shows up to check them out! Xover upgrade is definitely in the plans.

I got 3.4 ohms on the VM.

Speaker now works when I installed an RDO 194 tweeter. Replacement peerless on the way.
