Is there anyway to reduce the subs port noise. At higher volumes its really noticeable. Right now i'm running it with the port filled. I think part of the problem is that the port isn't flared on the inside. I guess my real question is there a way to organize the air to minimize port noise.

all help is appreciated

P.S. excuse me if there are spelling errors i'm in a hurry

How does it sound with the port filled? If your looking for a lot of volume and/or bass I would get a better sub. Your not going to get rid of that port noise running that speaker hard. Also if your running it hard I'm sure it sounds very distorted.

Im not like playing it super loud. It's just under high excursion the port noise is prevalent.

You probably need a better sub. When I tried the PSW-10 I thought had more port noise than actual output.

I get port noise sometimes. I take some Alka Seltzer and it makes it all better. :p

+1 Better sub.... Try experimenting with placement to.

Where did you put the Alka Seltzer.

If you are getting port noise on that sub IMO either you are playing the frequencies at the lower end of the spectrum too emphasized or you are cranking it up. That's not what the sub was intended to do.

If you want a DJ type sound, you need to upgrade the sub to something that can deliver the "boom".
