About to upgrade my receiver and the choice is narrowed down to the pioneer sc-05 or the onkyo 905. Any suggestions on these two choices? Also was thinking of a pioneer 94thx being that it is cheaper than the other two. Typically I make a choice myself but for some reason I am baffled on what to select.

No question the sc05 allday every day twice on Sunday and 3 times Monday morning.

The 94 is crazy fantastic for the price they are going for now. if you can score one, jump man jump. I love that receiver, I think the Sc05 is better but Dollar for Dollar with the price the 94 is going for, it's a wrap with a pretty bow.

    Go for it man,

I thought that was the one based on audio quality. The reon video processor is a gem but me I prefer my hdmi sources to be pure. The torrodial transformer seemed a plus but I think the ice power amps still got it beat. Local worst buy has the 94 for 1200.

For 1200 you can get the SC-05, you should be able to get the 94 for less than 1000. Check pricegrabber.com
